Company Compliance
There are several aspects to ensuring a private security company is operating in full compliance with Texas DPS Regulations as well as Texas State Law. HPA Management Group works closely with our clients to ensure they are working to get in and stay in compliance.
1
Company Operations
Security companies in Texas have a long list of guidelines outlined in various codes that regulate operations daily. Some of them are well known while others or more obscure. We at HPA Management Group meet periodically with company owners to ensure even the smallest details are covered.
2
Company Uniform and Vehicles
The regulations for uniforms for security guard services is outlined in Texas Administrative Code 35.14. It is vital that all company uniforms are within this guideline to avoid fines and legal issues.
3
Company Licensing and Insurance
Security Compony Licensing Guidelines are outlined in Texas Occupational Code 1701 Subsection F. All agencies must have an active and clear license to be operational. Companies must also only perform the services for which the license assigned to their company allows. Security Company Insurance Guidelines are outlined in Texas Administrative Code 35.27. Company Insurance Policies must meet the minimum coverage requirements outlined by TEXAS DPS. Security companies are forbidden from operating without an active insurance policy.
4
Periodic Compliance Checks
One way HPA Management Group assist our clients with staying in compliance is by performing period checks of company operations to ensure all operations are within TexaS DPS Compliance. You can think of these as “practice audits” in the manor that Texas DPS Regulatory will perform their yearly audits.
